Firmware staging operation is not successful in HPE OneView

Symptom
  • Creating or editing server profiles with a firmware baseline is not successful in HPE OneView.
Cause
  • iLO repository has reached its write limit due to excessive writes. iLO repository is not available for writes for a period of one week or until the iLO is reset.
NOTE:

Starting from iLO 5 with firmware version 1.40 or later, iLO restricts repeated block writes on the iLO repository. The iLO repository has a weekly write limit to prevent the corruption of NAND flash memory.

Action
Do one of the following:
  • Wait for a period of one week and then continue with the firmware updates.
  • Perform an iLO reset to continue the firmware updates before the one week period; refresh the server in HPE OneView and retry the operation.

    The iLO repository returns to its normal state.
