OSM cannot report the failure of a DIMM or processor as the cause of a NonStop server blade fault. The blade iLO Integrated Management Log (IML) should be checked for possible processor, DIMM, or other specific hardware faults.
Either processor 0 or processor 1 must remain running and have a functioning path to $SYSTEM for the system to remain operational.
The server blade gets HSS and HCA firmware from a BOOTP service. Review Determining the Location of the BOOTP Services before installing a replacement server blade.
When you handle a FRU, follow Standard operating practices to avoid damage to the equipment.
To avoid thermal damage, always populate server blade enclosure bays with either a server blade or server blade blank.
